LUT stands for “Look Up Table” and is a mathematical formula that deliberately changes the colors of an image. You can also use these in Red Giants “Colorista” or “Looks” by importing the LUT. In Adobe natively it is Lumetri Color and in FCPX you can choose a custom LUT effect. These LUTs were created to be used with any coloring software that allows you to choose a custom LUT.
